In order to gain sponsership from organisations and businesses I sent letters out to supermarkets, nurseries and hardware stores. The letters explained what the day was about and who was invloved. Coles and Bunnings supplied a $20 and $50 voucher respectively. This allowed materials such as prizes, plants, watering cans and soil to be purchased.
I also sent emails to a number of sporting associations and health promoting organisations such as Beyond Blue and Life Saving Victoria. Information pamphelts, pens and recipe cards were among materials supplied. I also organsied equipment to be ordered from Go For Your Life which each student recieved. The equipment included a hackey sack, skipping rope, sweat band and beach ball. This will also encourage the students to continue to be active outside of school as they could take the equipment home.
Partnerships with the community and parents was the most difficult to organise due to the distance to Colbinabbin. The Healthy activity day was advertised in the school newsletter and parents were invited to attend the day.
